We’ve found the Costco of florists.
This little-known shop near Granville Island is the store associated with downtown’s notoriously cheap flower carts. The carts’ huge volume plus lack of overhead mean they can price their flowers at wholesale rates, even at the store.
Every week there’s a different deal: we recently scored a massive bunch of 25 highly fragrant white lilies for $8.50 (you’d pay $25 elsewhere). And 12 stems of hot pink glads? That set us back a whopping $4. Back in spring, we were stunned by a heavy bunch of pink peonies, also $8.50.
Perfect for big events (wedding, anyone?) where you want volume for impact, load up on what’s in season, by the bucketful.
Just please save some for us.
