It’s not every day the TV and film glitterati from across the country get to experience a West Coast red carpet.
Vancouver hosts its first Gemini Awards on Saturday, November 4, and we’ve learned some of the show-stopping outfits that will be on the carpet.
Couture upstarts on everyone’s lips Evan and Dean are dressing Cara Pifko (This is Wonderland) in a custom, fitted blue silk gown with chiffon overlay, and Holly Dignard (Whistler) in a corseted brass-coloured number with inverted pleats.
Also scope the red runway for a strapless, Kelly green gown in silk charmeuse with oriental flower appliqué and a custom leather belt by Vancouver’s Jason Matlo as worn by Gabrielle Miller of Corner Gas.
Oh, you mean it’s supposed to be about the awards?
