As we celebrate our 2nd Anniversary with a huge influx of new subscribers, we thought it was once again time to explain how we operate.
Your daily dose, delivered Monday to Saturday to your inbox, is meant to be a useful and agreeable hint about the city you live in that helps you get the most out of it.
It’s short, tasty, and good for you.
Maybe it’s the best model of jeans out this season, maybe it’s a little-known weekend getaway, or perhaps it’s the amazing new Izakaya to open downtown.
Whatever it is, you want to be the first to know.
We cover six topic areas: health + beauty; fashion + shopping; arts + culture; travel + leisure; dining + nightlife and our new, optional, daily dose kids on Saturdays.
Never will we endorse something that we haven’t personally tasted, tried on, doused ourselves with, poured down our throats or otherwise experienced in person. We want only the best of the best for our daily dose readers.
A daily dose can never be purchased by an advertiser. We simply can’t be bought. We’ll never make a dime off the sashimi you eat or a nickel off a cocktail we recommend. We would never want to lose your trust.
However, as we grow, we will occasionally send out a “prescribed dose” on behalf of our sponsors that will be clearly marked as such in the subject line. And on Thursdays, we send out a weekly “steals & deals” tip sheet from our sponsors. Just like flipping past ads in a print magazine, it’s up to you whether you stop to look. But because the deals are so good, almost all of you do!
Our privacy policy clearly states that we will not sell your email address to anyone even if they offer us an unlimited account at Holt’s. And that means we’re serious.
