Once you've tried a local spot prawn, you'll never go back to those farmed Thai critters.

The Spot Prawn Festival kicks off tomorrow at noon with chef cooking demos (West, Chambar, Bishop's, Elixir and more) until 5 p.m.

Buy the spot prawns fresh off the boat at Fishermen's Wharf every day between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. for the next six  weeks ($12/lb.).

Spot prawn, English pea and mint risotto, anyone?
