Gingerbread Hop

DECEMBER 6, 2008

Gingerbread Hop

Treat the kiddies to a fresh-from-the-pan Gingerbread Boy Adventure, a moving performance on Granville Island inspired by the classic Gingerbread Man fairytale. Full of sugar, spice and everything nice, the story begins in Railspur Alley and is the kind of fun the kids won’t soon forget.

Meet at the giant oven in Railspur Alley near Agro Café and watch the Gingerbread Boy come to life! Live musicians and performers take you on a trip as the Gingerbread Boy dashes away from the slick fox looking for the perfect cookie snack. Watch the story unfold as characters move along Old Bridge Street and Johnston Street to the giant sugar-coated La Baguette gingerbread house. And, at the end of your adventure, reward yourself and the little ones for escaping the wily fox with some live music in Triangle Square.

Run, run, run, just as fast as you can! Looks like you finally caught the Gingerbread Man.

Starts today, and runs every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., for more information and a list of all Granville Island festivities visit www.granvilleisland.com
