To turn a coat, sweater or shift dress from last season into chic right now in a cinch, just belt it.
 With
true waist trumping hip slung and extra length for knotting de rigueur
(see: Fendi, Hermès, Marc Jacobs), you may need a few extra holes. DIY
your current belt collection with a punch set from Lonsdale Leather.
With six different diameters, the tools work on either hard or soft
leather. Just have a ruler for measuring the space between holes, a
cutting board for protecting your marble countertop and a hammer to
pound.
Waist not, want not.
$15 at Lonsdale Leather, 21 E. Fifth Ave., Vancouver, 604-873-6556, www.indigoleather.com
