Hot Meats, Cool Seats
|

NOVEMBER 1ST, 2010
When chilled to the bone, deli slices won’t due, you need a hot sammy.
Stop in at Meat & Bread.
Inspired by a carved-on-the-spot joint in Dublin where co-owners Cord
Jarvie and Frankie Harrington used to share meals, the hot meats are
cooked on site and served with homemade mustard and sambal also sold by
the jar. If it’s not already sold out, try their mainstay Porchetta
($8) with a bottle of our new favourite fizzy drink, Fentimans
Curiosity Cola ($3). Sit in and enjoy the chic-yet-tough space (wood,
tile, cast iron and even a vintage punching bag) designed by Bao Bei
design contributor Craig Stanghetta.
You won’t mind this kind of meat on your bones.
