When architect Lewis Butler's farming parents tapped him to design a
farmhouse for them, they didn't have a clear picture of what they
wanted, but they knew that it had to be simple, and it had to have a
water tower. One can see why; this tower makes for a striking elevation
and provides big views out across the rural landscape.
